Bahía Asunción is located in the municipality of Mulegé; a hidden paradise between the sea and the desert that still maintains its natural beauty.
The North Pacific coast of Baja California Sur has several little known and inaccessible roads that have kept almost untouched several destinations in the state.
Asuncion Bay is located very close to the Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve, the largest in Mexico, where you can visit the whales, meet the pronghorn and bighorn sheep. Be captivated by its spectacular scenery and diverse ecosystem.
It is located a little more than100 kilometers south of Bahia de Tortugas, about 40 km from the turnoff of the Vizcaino-Bahia Tortugas highway.

From Mulegé to Bahía Asunción is 320 km, about 4 and a half hours and from Loreto to the Bay is 454 km, about 6 and a half hours approximately on Transpeninsular Highway no. 1.

What to fish?
Sport fishing in Asuncion Bay is first class and has become one of the favorite destinations for sport fishermen from the United States. Here you can fish for striped marlin, blue marlin, black marlin and sailfish, dorado, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, roosterfish, brown and cabrilla.
