The small town of La Bocana is located in the Municipality of Mulegé, in the State of Baja California Sur, it has approximately 1000 inhabitants and the Estero that characterizes it is located about five meters above sea level.
The predominant climate ranges from dry to desert and its average temperature oscillates between 18°C and 22°C degrees Celsius.
How to get there?
From Mulegé town to the mouth of the river, you travel approximately 260 kilometers along the Mexico 1 Santa Rosalía-Guerrero Negro Federal Highway.
What to fish?
As in all of Baja California, sport fishing in La Bocana is diverse and abundant. Here you can fish for striped marlin, blue marlin, black marlin and sailfish, mahi mahi , wahoo, yellowfin tuna, roosterfish, and grouper.
