How to get?

From Cancun and Riviera Maya: Cancun is 4 hrs 20 minutes from Mahahual, Playa del Carmen 3 hrs 20, Puerto Morelos 3 hrs 49 and Tulum 2 hrs 26 minutes.
From Chetumal: Almost 2 hours minutes from Mahahual, you can take a direct bus to this beach.
For International visits, it is best to arrive at Cancun International Airport, take a shuttle to Playa del Carmen and a cab to Mahahual beach.

What is fishing?

Between two ecological reserves (Sian kan and Xcalak), its Caribbean waters are an excellent spot for trolling and fly fishing, as they harbor an outstanding abundance of different species for sport fishing such as Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, Mahi mahi, Wahoo, Pacific Sierra, Tuna and Barracudas.
