Isla Arena (Isla Sabalo)

Did you know that Island Tarpon is called Island Tarpon? Can you imagine fishing among endless mangroves? How about getting in touch with the nature of the Celestun Biosphere?  Well, all this offers to sport fishing Isla Arena or Island Tarpon.

Isla Arena is a very friendly fishing village. Until recently the village had no electricity. Everything is still very rustic, there are cabins to spend the night and the nights are spectacular. It is a paradise for the fisherman who wants to disconnect, fish, talk and go back to fishing.

What to fish?

As you can imagine on the Island Tarpon and baby tarpon will fight hard and will test all your fishing skills, that's for sure. You can also fish for snook, snapper, rubia, corvina and jack mackerel.

How to get there?

To get to Isla Arena, you have to take a trip with an approximate time of 3 hours, leaving from the city of San Francisco de Campeche.
